Specifically addresses the conditions of the kingdom before being conquered, the causes of the Milanese revolution, the existence of liberal and national sentiment in northern and northeastern Italy, the relationship and influence of Allied Powers, and the dissatisfaction with the Habsburg government in Venetia.
