Leonardo and The Renaissance
Nathaniel Harris
Renaissance Italy was an amazing place, producing a host of great rulers, writers, soldiers, thinkers and artists. But Leonardo da Vinci is probably the most famous of all these Renaissance men and women. Although he had many gifts, he is chiefly remembered as an artist, and every year many thousands of visitors go to look at the Mona Lisa and other Leonardo paintings in museums and galleries.
